For UWS:
CREHSS implemented the UWS-UK Match R4: Increasing Enrollment and Retention of Children in Primary Education in Remote Regions of Nepal (2022-2025) Project under United World School Nepal in six schools of Gulmi District. The objectives of the end of program evaluation were a) To provide an in-depth analysis of teacher training and local government engagement; b) To inform how effective teacher training provision has been over the course of the UWS program, and how it has impacted student learning outcomes; c) To assess how effective local government engagement has been in ensuring the sustainability of student retention and learning outcomes post-transition. A qualitative approach based on OECD DAC criteria was used to evaluate the UWS program. While existing quantitative data from progress reports were reviewed, primary qualitative data were collected through KIIs, FGDs, and an Influence Matrix (IM) with SMCs to identify influential activities, significant changes, and the overall impact of the program. The study team designed the survey materials along with the survey design and conducted 38 Interviews, 20 Key Informants Interviews (KII) and 18 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) along with 5 Influential matrixes while reviewing the Project.
