For Save the Children:
CREHSS implemented the Documentation and Dissemination of Good Practices of Education Interventions of Save the Children in Madhesh and Karnali Provinces, under Save the Children International. The study was conducted in six districts: Mahottari, Sarlahi, and Saptari (Madhesh Province); Dailekh and Jajarkot (Karnali Province); and Banke (Lumbini Province). The purpose of the study was to systematically explore and document the knowledge and successful practices embedded within Save the Children’s comprehensive education programs. The specific objectives were to: a) conduct desk research and review existing reports, case studies, and learnings from Save the Children’s education programs to identify at least 10 key approaches to document as good practices, b) publish the good practice document and case studies in national newspapers for socialization and knowledge diffusion, and c) develop at least five high-quality 2–3 minute videos of the identified good practices, accompanied by high-quality photographs. The study adopted a qualitative approach, using key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) to achieve its objectives, and documented good practices through video recordings. Qualitative data were collected through 30 KIIs and 15 FGDs with purposively selected stakeholders, supported by Save the Children field staff and local partners.
